| Description | PERWAJA HOLDINGS BERHAD (“PHB” or “the Company”) DEFAULT IN PAYMENT PURSUANT TO PRACTICE NOTE 1 OF THE MAIN MARKET LISTING REQUIREMENTS OF BURSA MALAYSIA SECURITIES BERHAD The Board of Directors (“Board”) of the Company wishes to announce that its major subsidiary company, Perwaja Steel Sdn Bhd (“PSSB”) will not be able to pay off the Murabahah Medium Term Notes (“MMTN”) of RM50,000,000 which will fall due on 29 November 2013 as the electricity at the Company’s Kemaman Plant has been disconnected by Tenaga National Berhad (“TNB”). There is therefore no visibility of when this MMTN repayment will be made. However, the Company has embarked on serious discussion with TNB and is hopeful of an immediate solution.
