The Board of Directors of Aluminium Company of Malaysia Berhad (the “Company”) wishes to announce that the Company intends to seek shareholders’ approval on the following proposals at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (“AGM”):- 1) Proposed Share Buy-Back Authority; 2) Proposed RRPT Shareholders’ Mandate; and 3) Proposed Amendments to Articles. At the Company’s AGM held on 30 August 2012, the Company had obtained shareholders’ approval to renew the mandates which enable the Company to enter into Share Buy-Back and Recurrent Related Party Transactions. These shareholders’ mandates will expire at the conclusion of the forthcoming AGM of the Company. The Proposed Amendments to Articles are made to be in line with the Listing Requirements and other relevant regulatory and statutory requirements. The Statement/Circular to shareholders containing the details of the Proposals will be issued to the shareholders of Alcom in due course. This announcement is dated 20 May 2013.
