Remarks: As part of the agreement with ExxonMobil for the acquisition of its 65% voting shares in Esso Malaysia Berhad by Petron Oil & Gas International Sdn Bhd ("Petron"), it was required that Petron changes the name of Esso Malaysia Berhad following the completion of the acquisition. The acquisition was completed on March 30, 2012.
By arrangement between the parties, it was agreed that Esso Malaysia Berhad's name be changed by July 13, 2012.
On July 2, 2012, at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Esso Malaysia Berhad ("the Company"), the change of the Company's name to Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Bhd, was approved by shareholders vide a Special Resolution.
On July 11, 2012, we received from the Companies Commission of Malaysia, a Certificate of Incorporation of Change of Name (Form 13) confirming that the name "Esso Malaysia Berhad" was changed to "Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Bhd" with effect from July 10, 2012.
