Description: We refer to our announcement dated 3 Feb 2012 wherein it was announced that Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") had granted Pharmaniaga Berhad ('Pharmaniaga") a further extension of time of 6 months from 29 December 2011 until 28 June 2012 to comply with the public shareholding spread requirement stipulated in paragraph 8.02(1) of the Main Market Listing Requirements ("LR") of Bursa Securities ("Public Spread Requirement").
As announced by Boustead Holdings Berhad ("BHB") on 17 May 2012 and 4 June 2012, a private placement of 10,450,000 million ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in Pharmaniaga ("Pharmaniaga Share(s)") ("Placement Share(s)") was to be undertaken for the purpose of rectifying the shortfall in the Public Spread Requirement of Pharmaniaga. The Placement Shares have been successfully transferred to the Central Depository System (CDS) accounts of the placees on 11 June 2012.
Based on the Record of Depositors of Pharmaniaga as at 11 June 2012, the public shareholding spread of Pharmaniaga now stands at 25.76% which is in compliance with the Public Spread Requrement.
In this regard, Pharmaniaga had today submitted an application to Bursa for the upliftment of the suspension of trading in Pharmaniaga Shares.
