Description: We refer to Bursa Malaysia Berhad's letter dated 7 December 2011 in respect of the above matter.
The Board of Directors ("the Board") of LFE Corporation Berhad ("LFECorp" or "the Company") has made due enquiry with its Directors and the following major shareholders, namely Lew Mew Choi, Liew Teow Woon and Liew Chee Woon ("Major Shareholders").
Based on the due enquiry with the Directors and Major Shareholders, the Board of LFECorp would like to clarify as follows:-
1. There is no material corporate development relating to LFECorp Group's business and affairs that has not been previously announced that may account for the unusual market activity including those in the stage of negotiation/discussion.
2. The Company had, on 6 December 2011 announced the shares acquisitions of 5,700,108 and 6,100,021 by Mr Liew Teow Woon and Mr Liew Chee Woon respectively ("the said shares") on 1 December 2011. The Board of LFECorp believes that this could account for the unusual market activity. Mr Lew Mew Choi has informed that he disposed the said shares to Mr Liew Teow Woon and Mr Liew Chee Woon. Mr Lew Mew Choi has further informed that he will provide the Company with a duly executed Form 29C (Notice of Person Ceasing to be a Substantial Shareholder) soonest possible and thereafter, the Company will make the relevant announcement accordingly. Save for the above, the Board of LFECorp is unaware of any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the Group that may account for the unusual market activity.
3. The Company is unaware of any other possible explanations to account for the unusual market activity in the shares of the Company.
4. The Company has complied with Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Main Market Listing Requirements ("Main Market LR"), in particular paragraph 9.03 of the Main Market LR.
The Company will make the necessary announcement to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad should there be any material development that falls under the ambit of the Main Market LR.
