After having made due enquiries with the Directors and Major Shareholders, the Company wishes to advise that, to the best of their knowledge and belief, the Directors and Major Shareholder are not aware of any of the following that may have contributed to the unusual market activity:
1. any corporate development relating to STB and its subsidiaries' ("STB Group") business and affairs that has not been previously announced that may account for the unusual market activity, including those in the stage of negotiation/discussion. As reported in the front page of Business Times Section of New Straits Times on 8 November 2011, Protev's president was quoted as saying that they have completed the first phase of its due diligence on STB and is expected to conclude the second phase in the early part of next year;
2. any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the STB Group that may account for the unusual market activity;
3. any other possible explanation of account for the unusual market activity; and
4. any material information that requires immediate disclosure in accordance with Paragraph 9.03 of the ACE LR.
