Contents: On behalf of the Board of Directors of NVB, HwangDBS Investment Bank Berhad ("HwangDBS") wishes to announce that as at 13 January 2011, an amount of RM 23.60 million (Arising from the private placement which was completed on 18 January 2010 and allocated towards capital expenditure for the Company's new operations in Thailand) has yet to be fully utilised for its intended purposes. As of 31 December 2010, the Company has utilised approximately RM10.00 million for capital expenditure and RM0.18 million to defray expenses in connection with the private placement.
The delay was due to a change of plan from constructing a pure CNC machining facility to now a facility which caters for sub-assembly of lenses and provision of adequate storage space. The machining facility has been in operations since March 2010. We are currently in the next phase of the expansion plan to increase the factory production area from current of 25,000 square feet to 100,000 square feet.
As such, the Board of Directors of NVB wishes to announce that the Board of Directors has resolved and approved an extension of time of one (1) year until 17 January 2012 for the utilisation of the remaining proceeds.
