Contents: We refer to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad's letter dated 26 November 2010 with regards to the Company's announcement dated 25 November 2010 and as requested, we hereby furnish the following additional information:
1. The Notice from Tenaga Nasional Berhad dated 7 September 2010 ("the Notice") was received by Hai San Ice Industries Sdn Bhd ("Hai San Ice") on 20 September 2010.
2. The amount claimed for under the Notice is RM4,798,977.54 for arrears for the period from February 2006 to 13 May 2010. There is no interest claim under the Notice ("the Claim").
3. The details of the default or circumstances leading to the filing of the Notice against Hai San Ice is that Tenaga Nasional Berhad had alleged that the electric supply meter had been tampered with which is denied by Hai San Ice.
4. The total cost of investment of Hai San Ice is RM2.5 million, as the paid-up capital of Hai San Ice as at 30 September 2010.
5. The Claim if proven will have a financial impact on the Group amounting to RM4,798,977.54. The operations are not impacted by this Claim.
6. HAISAN is expected to incur additional losses as a result of the above Claim and legal cost arising from the Claim if proven.
