We refer to the news reports available online in relation to the confirmation by Minister of KeTTHA on TNB’s takeover of Project 3B from 1MDB on 18 June 2015. Tenaga Nasional Berhad (“TNB”) wishes to clarify that at present date TNB has yet to receive any official notification from the Government in relation to TNB’s takeover of Project 3B from 1MDB. In relation to its investments, TNB emphasizes that it remains committed in maximising its shareholders’ value by seeking business opportunities with strong commercial sense and in doing so TNB shall comply with the applicable laws, rules and regulations as well as upholding the highest corporate governance standard. TNB will make the necessary announcement should there be any further development on this matter. This announcement is dated 18 June 2015. |
