Working experience and occupation | Mr Chew began his career at Messrs Price Waterhouse in 1976 and served in various capacities in the firm for almost 30 years. He was admitted as a partner of the firm in 1990. Whilst at PwC, his work experience covered a wide range of professional service areas including business advisory, corporate restructuring and recovery and corporate finance. He had also held a number of leadership roles including as the Asia Pacific Chairman of Financial Advisory. He was also the Malaysian firm’s Risk Management and Independence Leader, its Deputy Chairman of the Governance Board and a member of the Country Management Team. Mr Chew was seconded for two years to the Houston, Texas office (1982-84) for overseas work experience and personal development. Later, he was also seconded to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the central bank, for about a year and a half (1986-88). In March 2005, Mr Chew became the Chief Financial Officer for Southern Bank Berhad (“SBB”) but left in mid-2006 when SBB was acquired by Bumiputra Commerce Holdings Berhad (now CIMB). He has since been acting in a private consulting capacity to companies and individuals on boards and projects related to his skills and experience in business and finance. Mr Chew at present is an independent non-executive director of Mulpha International Berhad (“MIB”), a public listed property & hospitality group in Malaysia with significant assets and business in Australia. He is also the Chairman of Audit Committee of MIB as well as a member of the Audit Committee of Mulpha Australia Limited, its Australian subsidiary. Mr Chew is also an independent non-executive director of Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad (“MSC”). The MSC group is one of the world’s leading producers of tin metal and tin based products and a global leader in custom tin smelting. Mr Chew is also a trustee of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in Malaysia. |

Further to the Company’s announcements dated 5 August 2011 and 26 August 2011, the Board of Directors of Wing Tai Malaysia Berhad wishes to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary company, DNP Land Sdn. Bhd. (“DNP Land”) has on 23 May 2014 entered into a Supplemental Agreement with AEON Co. (M) Bhd (“Purchaser”) to complete the Sale and Purchase Agreement dated 5th August 2011 (“SPA”) between the Purchaser and DNP Land for the disposal of two (2) pieces of freehold land under GRN 83570, Lot No. 1379, Mukim 15, Daerah Seberang Perai Tengah and GM 3282, Lot No. 14344, Mukim 15, Daerah Seberang Perai Tengah, Negeri Pulau Pinang (now known as No. H.S.(D) 59864 No. PT Lot 30908, Mukim 15, Daerah Seberang Perai Tengah, Negeri Pulau Pinang following amalgamation) (“Sale Property”) notwithstanding that part of the Sale Property may have to be surrendered to the Appropriate Authority for monsoon drain alignment. The Supplemental Agreement also provides for the reduction of the purchase price from RM50,126,234.40 to RM47,105,239.80 due to the size of the area of the Sale Property as stated in the document of title being less than the Agreed Area in the SPA by 50,349.91 square feet following the amalgamation of the Sale Property as well as for further adjustment in the purchase price due to the surrender of a small portion of the Sale Property for monsoon drain alignment. The purchase price is adjusted at the rate of RM60.00 per square feet. The Supplemental Agreement further provides for issuance of a Corporate Guarantee by DNP Land to the Purchaser as a guarantee to complete DNP Land’s obligation pursuant to the Supplemental Agreement. This Announcement is dated 23 May 2014.
