Mr Cheah is a Chartered Surveyor with about 33 years of working experience in property and property related industries which include property consultancy, property development, project management, asset management and valuation and property management of a wide spectrum of Commercial (Hotels, Offices and shopping complexes), Residential (Township, Landed as well Strata developments) and Institutional (Universities, Hospitals) Properties. Prior to joining IOIPG, Mr Cheah was the COO (Property Investments) with Sunway Group since 2009. Mr Cheah holds a Masters in Business Administration from Bath, England and a Bachelor of Science Degree (Honours) in Estate Management from the Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a registered Valuer with the Board of Valuers, Estate Agents and Appraisers, Malaysia and is also a registered Estate Agent. Mr Cheah is a fellow member of The Institute of Surveyors, Malaysia, and a member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of Private Valuers Association (PEPS). Mr Cheah started his career as Chartered Surveyor in Rahim & Co, for 8 years before joining a leading consultancy firm, Peat Marwick Consultants where he was responsible for project management. Mr. Cheah joined Tan & Tan Development Berhad as Head of the Real Estate and Property Division in 1992 and was later promoted to the Senior General Manager of the Assets Management Division under the merged listed entity of IGB Corporation Berhad.
