We refer to the announcements dated 23 December 2013, 21 February 2014, 27 February 2014, 26 May 2014 and 13 June 2014 ("Earlier Announcements"). Unless otherwise stated, the definitions used throughout this announcement shall have the same meanings as defined in the Earlier Announcements. The Board of Directors of the Company hereby announce that the public shareholding spread of the Company as at 15 May 2014 was 22.28% and that the Company has yet to comply with the Public Shareholding Spread Requirement. Bursa Securities had vide its letter dated 23 June 2014 granted the Company a further extension of time of six (6) months from 18 June 2014 until 17 December 2014 ("Extension Period") to comply with the Public Shareholding Spread Requirement. LDHB had on 21 February 2014 announced that it proposes to take either one or a combination of the following steps to comply with the Public Shareholding Spread Requirement within the Extension Period: (i) request for the co-operation of its substantial shareholders to dispose of part of their shareholdings to third party investors as and when the market price of LDHB Shares is deemed appropriate; and/or (ii) undertake placement(s) of new LDHB Shares to third party investors as and when the market price of LDHB Shares is deemed appropriate. As of the date of this announcement, LDHB has not been able to undertake the abovementioned steps to increase its public shareholding spread in view of the unfavourable market price, downward trading trend and low liquidity of LDHB Shares. The Company will continue to monitor the level of public shareholding spread and make the necessary announcements in relation to the status of its efforts to comply with the Public Shareholding Spread Requirement every quarter of its financial year in compliance with the LR. | |
