Reference is made to the announcements dated 21 August 2013, 28 August 2013 and 6 September 2013 in relation to the 7th DRP. On behalf of the Board of Directors of Maybank (“Board”), Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (“Maybank IB”) wishes to announce that the issue price of the new Maybank Shares to be issued pursuant to the 7th DRP applicable to the single-tier interim cash dividend in respect of the financial year ending 31 December 2013 of 22.5 sen per Maybank Share held has been fixed today (“Price Fixing Date”) at RM9.20 per new Maybank Share. The issue price is based on the five (5)-day volume weighted average market price (“VWAMP”) of RM9.95 per Maybank Share up to and including 10 September 2013, being the last trading day prior to the Price Fixing Date for the issue price of new Maybank Shares after adjusting for the following: (i) a dividend adjustment of 22.5 sen to the five (5)-day VWAMP (“Ex-Dividend VWAMP”); and (ii) a discount of RM0.525 which is approximately 5.40% discount to the Ex-Dividend VWAMP of RM9.725. On behalf of the Board, Maybank IB also wishes to announce on even date that the book closure date pursuant to the interim cash dividend and 7th DRP has been fixed for 26 September 2013. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the new Maybank Shares arising from the 7th DRP will be listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 28 October 2013. Puan Fina Norhizah previously embarked on her legal career with the Malaysian Attorney General Chambers as a Senior Federal Counsel and subsequently as the Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Transport, as a lecturer with International Islamic University of Malaysia and in several capacities with PETRONAS. Prior to her retirement in 2007, she was the Head and Senior General Manager of Legal and Corporate Secretarial Affairs Division and the Company Secretary of MISC Berhad since 2004. Currently, Puan Fina Norhizah sits on the boards of Alam Maritim Resources Berhad and Kasi Gegar Entertainment Sdn Bhd. Puan Fina Norhizah holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Malaya, Masters in Law (specialising in maritime and shipping) from the London School of Economics, University of London and a Diploma in Syariah Law & Practice from the International Islamic University of Malaysia. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1986. There is no family relationship between Puan Fina Norhizah and any director and/or major shareholder of UMW-OG and she has no conflict of interest with UMW-OG.
