The Company had on 8 July 2013, made an application to Bursa Securities for an extension of time of three (3) months up to 19 August 2013 for the Company to comply with the public shareholding spread requirement. On 9 July 2013, Bursa Securities has granted BERNAS an extension of time until 19 August 2013 to comply with the public shareholding spread requirement pursuant to paragraph 8.02(1) of the MMLR. As at the date of this announcement, the Joint Offerors are exploring various options or proposals to rectify the shortfall in the public shareholding spread of BERNAS. The actual course of action to be taken will depend on, among others, the circumstances as well as the prevailing market conditions at the relevant time.
