Further to the announcement made by the Company on 22 August 2012, the Board of Directors of SBGB wishes to announce that Standard Confectionery Sdn Bhd (“SCSB”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SBGB, has on 28 September 2012 been informed by its solicitors that, at the case management on 26 September 2012, Asia Food Link Sdn Bhd (“AFL”) had withdrawn its suit against SCSB with liberty to file afresh and no order as to costs. However, the claim in this suit has been included and presented as part of the Statement of Defence and Counterclaim by AFL as the fourth defendant in the proceedings commenced by SBGB, SCSB and Stanson Marketing Sdn Bhd vide Kuala Lumpur High Court Suit No: 22NCC-1219-08/2012.
