We wish to announce that the Court had ruled that the Plaintiff's application in the suit is dismissed with costs. The Plaintiff� had earlier�on issued a Writ of Summons to Sabah Ports Sdn Bhd and two others, alleging that Sabah Ports Sdn Bhd had improperly and without any cause, deducated certain sums of money and more particularly a sum of RM11,807,268.78 due under�the contract, which sums ought to have been paid by the 3rd Defendant into a Designated Account in terms of the contract, Deed of Assignment and Court Order dated 27th June 2006. At the Ruling fixed on the 20th September 2012, the Court�had decided that the 2nd and 3rd Defendants (Sabah Ports Sdn Bhd) are entitled to make the said payment to the 3rd party contractors and that such�sum paid�out to the 3rd party contractor�is not in breach of the Court Order. Residential Apartments with Car Parks and Ancillary, located at the New Upper
Changi Road / Bedok North Drive, Singapore:
(a) Air Conditioning &
Mechanical Ventilation and Fire Protection Services for contract value of S$19
million;� and (b) Electrical and ELV Works for
contract value of S$16.2 million.
The Sub-Contract
works is targeted to complete by 30 June 2014.
The Sub-Contract
is not expected to have any material financial effect on the earnings, net
assets and gearing of BKCB for the financial year ending 31 March 2013. However
it is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of BKCB Group.
Risk factors
affecting the Sub-Contract include and not more than the standard and customary
contract risks in Singapore.
None of the
Directors and/or major shareholders of BKCB or persons connected to them have
any interests, direct or indirect, in the Sub-Contract.
