The Board of Directors of Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ahmad Zaki Sdn Bhd (“AZSB”) had on 7 May 2014 been served with Writs of Summons and Statement of Claims dated 2 May 2014 by Multiglow Corporation Sdn Bhd claiming for the sum of RM9,860,691.78 in relation to Kertih Polymer Park (“KPP”) Phase 1 Project (“KPP1 Project”) and KPP Phase 2 Project (“KPP2 Project”) and for the sum of RM2,722,476.33 in relation to Lebuhraya Pantai Timur Phase 2 5A Project (“LPT2 5A Project”) in Terengganu (collectively, known as “the Projects”). All the Projects were practically completed on the following dates:- a) LPT2 5A Project on 22 December 2012; b) KPP1 Project on 15 February
2013; and c) KPP2 Project on 31 March 2013. AZSB contests the alleged claims and has consulted its solicitors who will defend the suits on AZSB’s behalf. This announcement is dated 8 May 2014.
