- PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PURSUANT TO PARAGRAPH 8.23(1)(ii) AND PRACTICE NOTE 11 OF THE MAIN MARKET LISTING REQUIREMENTS OF BURSA MALAYSIA SECURITIES BERHAD
Pursuant to Paragraph 8.23(1)(ii) and Practice Note 11 of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Board of Directors of MIG wishes to announce that the aggregate amount of financial assistance provided by MIG to Mycron Steel CRC Sdn Bhd (“MSCRC”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mycron Steel Berhad (“MSB”), who in turn is a 54.8% owned subsidiary of MIG in the form of a corporate guarantee issued in favour of SK Networks Co., Ltd (“SKN”) as security for the credit-sales facility granted by SKN to MSCRC as at 31 December 2013 is up until USD14.0 million.
The provision of the financial assistance does not have any material effect on the net assets, earnings per share, gearing, share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings in MIG and its subsidiaries for the quarter ended 31 December 2013.

Working experience and occupation He began his career as a Shipping Executive at Harper Gilfillan (M) Sdn. Bhd. While he was a Director of JFASB, he was an active member of the stockbrokers’ fraternity and held the post as President of the Association of Stockbroking Companies of Malaysia until he left the industry.

In 2000, he joined MBF Group and was subsequently appointed as the Managing Director of MBF Capital Berhad and the Executive Director of MBF Holdings Berhad in 2001. In 2005, he became the Chairman of Eastern & Oriental Berhad Group.

Datuk Azizan was also involved in the restructuring of several public listed companies such as the MBF Group of Companies, Tongkah Holdings Berhad and Bina Darulaman Berhad. He was actively involved in the companies’ debt restructuring plans and identified new business strategies for them.
