Lucky Strike Originals Sdn Bhd ("LS") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Commercial Marketers and Distributors Sdn Bhd ("CMD"). CMD, in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Commercial Importers and Distributors Sdn Bhd ("CID") and CID is a wholly-owned subsidiary of British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Berhad ("BATM"). We wish to announce that LS has on 26 December 2012 filed an application to Companies Commission of Malaysia ("CCM") for striking off pursuant to Section 308 of the Companies Act, 1965. CCM had replied via its letter dated 27 August 2013, which was received by the Company on 9 September 2013, enclosing a notice informing that at the expiration of 3 months from the date of the notice i.e. 27 November 2013, LS's name will, unless cause is shown to the contrary, be struck off the Register by CCM and LS will be dissolved. LS is a dormant company which was incorporated on 16 October 1990. The authorised and paid-up share capital of LS are RM5,000,000.00 and RM2,324,125.00 respectively. The striking off of LS has no material financial effect on BATM Group. None of the directors or substantial shareholders of BATM or persons connected with them has any interest, whether direct or indirect in the aforesaid striking off.
