In 2004, Mr Greaves became Chief Executive of Hanson Capital, with a mandate to develop the family's presence in the financial sector and its investments in Asia. He implemented a strategic plan involving the development of a financial services execution platform, the creation of a private equity activity with an emphasis on Asia and the restructuring of the family's investments and operating businesses into a formal corporate structure.
Mr Greaves is now Deputy Chairman of Hanson Family Holdings (www.hancap.com), the holding company chaired by The Hon Robert Hanson which brings together the family's interests in three principal areas: M&A, corporate advisory and securities (Hanson Capital/Strand Hanson), direct investment and private equity (Hanson Family Investors/Hanson China Partners) and transportation/industrial (Hanson Logistics).
