THE LISTING OF AND QUOTATION FOR THE ENTIRE ENLARGED ISSUED AND PAID-UP SHARE CAPITAL OF MHB COMPRISING 1,600,000,000 ORDINARY SHARES OF RM0.50 EACH IN MHB ON THE MAIN MARKET OF BURSA MALAYSIA SECURITIES BERHAD ("LISTING")
Contents: We refer to the announcement by MISC Berhad dated 1 September 2010 and Section 10.2 (a) of the Prospectus of MHB dated 6 October 2010 ("Prospectus"), wherein it was stated that the Securities Commission ("SC"), vide its letter dated 30 August 2010, approved the initial public offering and the Listing ("SC's Approval Letter") subject to, among others, the following condition:
"MHB to appoint an additional independent director who is not connected to Petroliam Nasional Bhd, its subsidiaries and/or affiliates, in terms of current and past directorships and employments ("Condition")".
It was disclosed in the Prospectus that an additional independent director will be appointed prior to the Listing and his/her credentials will be announced via the Bursa Listing Information Network.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of MHB, Maybank Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that the SC, vide its letter dated 28 October 2010, approved MHB's application in respect of a variation to the Condition and allowed MHB to comply with the Condition within three (3) months after the Listing.
