Lourdes had an interpleader action on Leisure Holidays Berhad ("Leisure Holiday"), a company which at one time was a related company of MBf Leasing, in respective of a put option involving a sum of USD1.8 million. The settlement arrangement between MBfH and MBf Leasing as recorded in the Kuala Lumpur High Court Consent Order also required Lourdes to have no claim on the interpleader action and to release the securities in the put option to Leisure Holidays.
Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Ninian Mogan Lourdenadin ("Tan Sri Mogan"), the major shareholder, director and Group Chief Executive Officer of MBfH, holds all the 500,000 issued and paid up ordinary shares in Lourdes except for 1 share which is held by Mdm Susan A/P Rajanayagam, the Managing Director of MBfH.
The claim is for a sum of RM5.4 million payable by 31 March 2011 where interest will be levied if not paid on time which rate is to be mutually agreed at the material time.
