The Board of Directors of Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad ("MHB" or "the Issuer") is pleased to announce that the Securities Commission Malaysia ("SC") has approved the establishment of the Sukuk Murabahah Programme on 25 September 2014. The Sukuk Murabahah Programme shall have a tenure of fifteen (15) years from the date of the first issue of the Sukuk Murabahah. Each Sukuk Murabahah shall have a tenure of more than one (1) year and up to fifteen (15) years as the Issuer may select, provided that the Sukuk Murabahah matures on or prior to the expiry of the Sukuk Murabahah Programme. The proceeds raised from the Sukuk Murabahah Programme shall be utilised for MHB's capital expenditure, working capital requirements, other general corporate purposes of MHB and/or advances by MHB to MHB group of companies which shall be done in a Shariah compliant manner and shall be utilised for Shariah compliant purposes. HSBC Amanah Malaysia Berhad ("HSBC") is the Sole Coordinator of the Sukuk Murabahah Programme.
