This announcement is dated 29 August 2012. We refer to the announcement dated 11 June 2012 in respect of the Proposed Joint Venture (“Announcement”). Unless otherwise stated, defined terms used in this announcement shall carry the same meanings as defined in the Announcement. On behalf of the Board of Directors of YHB, AmInvestment Bank Berhad is pleased to announce that approval from Bank Negara Malaysia (“BNM”) for the remittance of YHB’s investment obligations pursuant to the Proposed Joint Venture has been obtained vide its letter dated 24 August 2012, which was received on 27 August 2012 for the conversion of RM to USD totalling USD32.8 million as part of the Estimated Total Project Cost for the Proposed Joint Venture. The remaining USD26.0 million of the Estimated Total Project Cost do not require BNM’s approval. The approval by BNM above is subject to, inter-alia, the transfer of USD32.8 million being made from November 2012 up to June 2013 (“Approval Period”). YHB would be required to seek a new approval from BNM for the transfer of the USD32.8 million in the event such transfer is made after the Approval Period. | |
