We refer to the announcements dated 16 June 2014, 13 August 2014 and 12 September 2014 in relation to the Proposed Acquisitions (“Announcements”). Unless otherwise stated, the definitions used herein shall have the same meanings as set out in the Announcements. Further to the Company's announcement on 12 September 2014, on behalf of the Board of Directors of SCB, Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad wishes to inform that SCB had today requested for extension of the SCB Acceptance to 20 October 2014 to facilitate the finalisation of the draft SSA via its letter dated 13 October 2014, which has been accepted on the same date by HNG (“SCB Acceptance Offer Extension”). The Earnest Deposit shall be refunded in full, free of interest, to SCB and the SCB Acceptance Offer Extension shall lapse if, for any reason, the signing of the SSA does not occur on or before 20 October 2014. HNG further agrees that during the duration of the SCB Acceptance Offer Extension until the signing of the SSA, it shall not offer to sell any of its equity interests in the Target Companies to any other parties. The shareholders of SCB and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in SCB Shares, as there is no certainty that the Proposed Acquisitions may proceed or result in a binding SSA. An announcement will be made upon the signing of the SSA. If you are in doubt as to the next course of action to take, you should consult your stockbroker, bank manager, solicitor, accountant or other professional advisers immediately. This announcement is dated 13 October 2014.
