Description	PAN MALAYSIA CORPORATION BERHAD ("COMPANY") Overpayments of advance rentals
Reference is made to the Company’s announcement dated 20 December 2013 in relation to the overpayments of advance rentals (“Announcement”). Unless otherwise stated, the terms used in this announcement shall carry the same meaning as defined in the Announcement. The Company wishes to clarify the following: Fairway Properties Sdn Bhd (“Fairway”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pan Malaysian Industries Berhad ("PMI"). The Company's holding company, Malayan United Industries Berhad is an associate to PMI. Fairway is the owner of Menara PMI. By virtue of the Renewal of Tenancy Agreement entered into between Fairway and the Subsidiary, Fairway as the landlord had been collecting rentals from the Subsidiary who is a tenant in Menara PMI. As a result of management oversight in the processing of the payment of rentals, overpayments of rentals had been made by the Subsidiary. The renewal term of the said tenancy agreement is for a fixed period of 3 years commencing from 1 November 2011 until 31 October 2014. In view of the said overpayments, the Subsidiary had on 18 December 2013 issued a letter of demand to Fairway requesting the repayment of the said overpayments. Repayments are expected to be recovered by installments in the next 12 months. This announcement is dated 6 January 2014.
