Sime Darby Berhad (Sime Darby) wishes to announce that Sime Darby NET Sdn Bhd (SD NET), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Sime Darby, had held its Extraordinary General Meeting today, at which it was resolved that SD NET be wound-up voluntarily and that Ms Chua Siew Chuan and Ms Chin Mun Yee be appointed as the Joint Liquidators of SD NET.
SD NET is currently dormant and its principal activities were the provision of information technology services, human resource and other support services. The voluntary liquidation of SD NET will not have a material effect on the earnings and net assets of the Sime Darby Group for the financial year ending 30 June 2014. None of the Directors or substantial shareholders of Sime Darby or persons connected to them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the voluntary liquidation.
