Description	EKOWOOD INTERNATIONAL BERHAD ("EKOWOOD" or "Company") - Voluntary Winding-Up of Alden S.A.S.U
The Board of Directors of EKOWOOD wishes to inform that Alden S.A.S.U. (“Alden”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company has on 16 December 2013 commenced a members' voluntary winding-up in accordance with the laws in France. Alden was incorporated on 6 November 2006 in France as a private limited company. It has ceased its operation on trading of wood products since 2012 and has no intention to re-commence any business activity in the future. The winding-up is part of EKOWOOD Group’s continuous rationalization effort to focus its resources on core businesses and income generating operations and to divest or wind-up unprofitable business. The Board of Directors of EKOWOOD is of the opinion that the voluntary winding-up of Alden is in the best interest of the EKOWOOD Group. The voluntary winding-up of Alden will not have any material effect on the net assets and earnings of EKOWOOD Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2013. This announcement is dated 17 December 2013.
