On behalf of the Board of Directors of Mah Sing, Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that Sanjung Tropika Development Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mah Sing, had on 1 October 2013, entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement with Bistari Land Sdn Bhd for the proposed acquisition of thirty one (31) pieces of adjoining freehold lands with a total net land area measuring approximately 1,351.84 acres (after deducting the areas acquired by the relevant authority measuring approximately 14.028 acres (approximately 611,059.68 square feet)) for a total cash consideration of RM429,868,897.92 or RM7.30 per square foot (“Proposed Acquisition”).
