DescriptionPROPOSED PARTIAL SETTLEMENT OF DEBT OWING BY PERAK EQUITY SDN BHD

Unless stated otherwise, definitions used in this announcement shall carry the same meaning as defined in the Company’s announcement dated 28 February 2012 in relation to the Proposed Settlement.

With reference to the Company’s announcement dated 27 February 2013 in relation to the extension of time to the Extended Conditional Period to facilitate the fulfilment of the Conditions Precedent of the Proposed Settlement expiring on 28 August 2013 (“Further Extended Conditional Period”), on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Company, we wish to announce that PCB has on 28 August 2013 agreed to grant PESB an additional period of six (6) months to the Further Extended Conditional Period to due on 28 February 2014.

PCB has agreed to grant PESB the said extension on the basis that the following are still pending:

(a) the approval of the relevant authorities for the revocation of the status of “Pengisytiharan Rezab Melayu” on the Reserved Land in respect of the Teluk Dalam Lands; and

(b) the approval by the State Authority for the transfer of the PHTP Lands and Teluk Dalam Lands to PCB or its appointed nominee.
