Southern Acids (M) Berhad (“SAB” or “Company”) is pleased to announce that its subsidiary company, PT Wanasari Nusantara, will construct a palm oil mill (“Project”) with a processing capacity of 45 metric tonne per hour, and upgradeable to 60 metric tonne per hour, on a piece of land at its oil palm estate in the Province of Riau, Sumatera. The estimated cost of the Project is in the region of RM35.0 million and will be fully financed by internal funds. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Project is expected to complete by the first quarter of 2015. The new palm oil mill is expected to contribute positively to the financial performance of SAB Group. None of the directors, major shareholders or persons connected with the directors or major shareholders of the Company have any direct or indirect interest in the Project and the directors are of the view that the Project is in the best interest of SAB Group.
