The terms used herein, unless the context otherwise stated, bear the same meaning as those defined in the earlier announcements in relation to the Proposals.

We refer to the earlier announcements dated 21 October 2011, 31 January 2012 and 27 March 2012 in relation to the Proposals.
    On behalf of the Board of Directors of MIG ("Board"), OSK Investment Bank Berhad ("OSK") wishes to announce that the Board, pursuant to a board meeting held on even date, has decided to abort the Proposals due to the following:-

    i. MIG's share price is currently trading below its par value of RM1.00 and the closing share price of MIG on 27 November 2012 was RM0.32, which is below the indicative issue price of RM0.40 per Rights Share pursuant to the Proposed Rights Issue; and
      ii. In view of the prevailing negative market sentiments towards the steel industry generally.
        The Board is of the opinion that the Proposals are not feasible at this juncture.

        This announcement is dated 28 November 2012.
